Studio Procedures and Student Information -
Parent Watch Week:- There is NO watch week in May.
- Parent watch weeks are the first class period in September, November, January, and March. - PLEASE refrain from talking during class. |
Missed Lessons:- Students are expected to attend all classes. Lessons may be made up at alternative times with teacher's permission.
-There is no price reductions for missed classes. - We try to make up for missed lessons due to weather. However, it is your responsibility to get your child to the make up class. |
Studio Etiquette:Dancers are expected to act with dignity at all times. Loud talking, running, climbing on chairs, and roughhousing of any kind are not permitted.

Studio Updates:Studio updates and dance news are provided in the form of newsletters and flyers. Please check your child's dance bag!

Class AttireStudents are expected to dress properly for class. If your child is not dressed properly they will not be able to participate.
Ballet & Pointe: Leotard and tights. Pink ballet shoes or pointe shoes. (Must consult with teacher before buying pointe shoes). Tap: Leotard and tights. Black tap shoes. Jazz/ Hip Hop: Leotard and tights of any color. Black Jazz shoes. Jazz/ Acro: Leotard and tights of any color. White arco shoes Creative Dance: Leotard and tights of any color. Pink ballet shoes. Pre- Dance: Leotard and tights of any color. Pink ballet shoes and black tap shoes. Irish: Leotard and tights of any color. Highland Ghillie shoes or Hard shoes. (Must have permission from instructor before buying hard shoes) ** Hair must be worn away from the face and securely tied. |
DMSD Recital:We will be presenting a dance recital at the end of the year. You will need to purchase costumes and tights for this event.
A RECITAL FEE OF $47.00 PER FAMILY IS CHARGED. ** COSTUME POLICY: IF YOUR TUITION IS NOT UP TO DATE, COSTUMES WILL NOT BE ORDERED AND IF TUITION IS NOT PAID IN FULL BEFORE THE RECITAL, COSTUMES WILL NOT BE HANDED OUT. |
Other Performances:Some classes will be asked to perform during the holiday's. Costumes and ticket fees may be additional for these performances.
Christmas Show Update: Toys for Tots Christmas Concert will Saturday December 14th starting at 2:00 pm at the Portland High School...Dancers need to be at the High School at 1:30 dressed and ready to dance...Asking everyone to bring a NEW and Unwrapped toy for a boy or girl. |
